Accreditation

In the accreditation process, schools undergo a voluntary review by an outside party that ensures a high-quality, standards-based education.  Research reveals that accredited schools have verifiable gains in student achievement. Our School is fully accredited and this ensures that:

  • Credits are transferable and accepted at universities and colleges around the world
  • Support services and student activities champion success
  • Qualified teachers and staff guide student learning

AmSchool partner, Mizzou Academy, is unique for being within the USA ranked College of Education at the University of Missouri. Our graduates have been accepted to colleges worldwide, outscored their peers on testing, and demonstrated more ”Results That Matter”!

Accreditation Explained

COGNIA former AdvancED

Cognia is the largest education improvement organization in the world. They rely on their history of success, built on expertise across a range of educational practices  focused on school improvement, assessment, student engagement, effective learning environments, and data use.

Based on a set of rigorous research-based standards and evidence-based criteria, the accreditation process examines the whole institution–its policies, programs, practices, learning conditions, and cultural context – to determine how well the parts work together to carry out the institution’s vision and meet the needs of every learner. Accreditation isn’t about passing a one-time inspection. Rather, accreditation recognizes education providers that demonstrate and sustain their commitments to continuous improvement and better learner outcomes.

College Board

The College Board is a mission-driven not-for-profit organization that connects students to college success and opportunity. Founded in 1900, the College Board was created to expand access to higher education. Today, the membership association is made up of over 6,000 of the world’s leading educational institutions and is dedicated to promoting excellence and equity in education.

Each year, the College Board helps more than seven million students prepare for a successful transition to college through programs and services in college readiness and college success — including the SAT and the Advanced Placement Program. The organization also serves the education community through research and advocacy on behalf of students, educators and schools.

National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These four pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception in 1921.

Today, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in NHS activities. NHS chapters are found in all 50 states, US Territories, Canada, and around the world. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

NCAA - The National Collegiate Athletic Association

The National Collegiate Athletic Association is a member-led organization dedicated to the well-being and lifelong success of college athletes. We have courses that have undergone a rigorous review by the NCAA.

NCAA schools help student-athletes succeed in the classroom by providing state-of-the-art technology, tutoring and access to academic advisers.

SAT / PSAT / NMSQT

The SAT Suite of Assessments is an integrated system made up of these tests:

  • SAT
  • PSAT/NMSQT and PSAT 10
  • PSAT 8/9

The tests measure the same skills and knowledge in ways that make sense for different grade levels, so it’s easier for students, parents, and educators to monitor student progress.

T

The test is recognisez by all universities in the world as a proof that the student have a certain level of knowledge and skill. Of course, best universities will require upper SAT scores.

The AAS students will work with our Admission Team in order to prepare for tests and ensure a score that will decisively contribute to being admitted to the desired college/university.

ACT

The ACT is an admission exam used by universities to evaluate undergraduate applicants. All four-year universities in the US, and more than 200 universities outside of the US, accept and value the ACT.

AS & A Levels

Thousands of learners worldwide gain places at leading universities every year having passed Cambridge International AS & A Levels. The syllabuses develop a deep understanding of subjects and independent thinking skills. AmSchool students can opt to prepare for A Levels and sit these exams afterwards at various accredited examination centers across Romania.
