Innovation

The idea for AmSchool came about 10 years ago, in a training room, working with a group of 12 teenagers from Success Academy. “What if we built a school where we could work and feel like we were here, in Success Academy?”

Experience

We, the trainers, understood their point of view perfectly. In the early 90s, we lived the experience of a public school and nothing had changed in the meantime. Back then, we experienced “teaching” and “lesson plans”. The old, teacher-centric education system.

Pragmatic education

In the meantime, we had developed hundreds of pragmatic education projects, delivered to the most critical beneficiaries: employees of Romanian or international companies, pragmatic and direct. That is why training programs had to be 100% adapted to the needs of the trainees. We had moved from a teacher-centric mentality to a student-centric one over the years.

Expansion

In 2015, we founded Success Academy, which would become the strongest and most coherent personal development, leadership and entrepreneurship program for children and adolescents in Romania. Today, we work with over 500 students annually.

Success Academy

Seeing the incredible results we had with the young people at Success Academy, this time parents started asking us why we didn’t build a school with the same philosophy and development orientation. This was the turning point when we started considering the idea.

Services

In 2018

we started searching and researching internationally accredited school systems.

We were surprised to discover that there are many options for a top international education that our children and teenagers can benefit from, without the fear that they might miss out on admission to the faculties they want, most of them abroad.

As parents and educators, we believe that teenagers and children in Romania have the right to study in modern learning environments. We believe that our young people should benefit from the most advanced techniques and working methods, to develop in education systems that they will encounter in higher education. Therefore, we contacted and selected from over 20 education providers around the world the best systems to offer in Romania. Our research stopped at Mizzou Academy, the middle school and high school program developed within the Department of Education of the University of Missouri. Tradition, experience, quality of courses and research in education decisively influenced our decision.

In parallel, four Success Academy groups were building the concept of the school of the future, within a project proposed by us. We were interested in the vision of our students. How the school would meet their needs.

Moreover, in the six years spent with our young people in the training room, we researched and clearly understood the way of working with children and adolescents, the way our young people learn today, the way they engage in learning activities. Success Academy was our laboratory for research and understanding the behavior and learning practices of our students.

We built a school. The only school that started from the vision of our students and with an eye towards the future.

  • Lessons are active on the online platform and supported through interactive work.
  • Students learn step by step how to take responsibility for their own learning.
  • Parents have real-time access to their children’s progress.
  • Romanian tutors are physically present with the young people, explain the topics to them and respond to all the children’s requests.
  • Socialization and motivation are continuously supported by the team of coordinators through training, coaching, and mentoring techniques.
  • Romanian language, geography, and history remain part of the learning path.
